Remote Wilderness

Located in the remote Hardap region of southern Namibia, Sonop sits on the edge of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, one of the largest (202,200 ha) private conservation areas in Southern Africa. Surrounded by open plains and sand dunes, the area is defined by its stillness and space. Built among large granite boulders, Sonop offers access to acres of untouched desert wilderness, where wildlife moves freely and human presence is minimal. At night, the sky is clear and full of millions of stars. This part of the Namib is both simple and vast – a place to step back and experience the desert as it is.
